CCWD recently transitioned the West Point Water Treatment Plant from its Bear Creek source to the Middle Fork Mokelumne River source. As a result, some customers may notice temporary changes in water taste, color, or odor. Treatment plant staff have adjusted operations to minimize these effects. While these aesthetic changes may be noticeable, the water remains safe to drink and continues to meet all drinking water standards.
