Water Service Restored to Customers in Arnold

April 3, 2017

As of 1:30 p.m. Monday April 3, water service was restored to businesses and homes in the Arnold area. Service was temporarily disrupted starting at 8 a.m. Monday to allow for a waterline tie-in, which is part of the ongoing.

After constructions projects such as this, it is common for residents and businesses to experience discolored water. It’s important to remember that even if the water is discolored, it is completely safe to drink and poses no health risk. However, the District recommends that customers avoid washing loads of laundry using bleach when experiencing discolored water, because it can lead to clothing being stained. CCWD staff members are flushing the main water system using fire hydrants to help remove any discolored water that may exist. If customers do experience discolored water and would like to flush their personal plumbing systems, they can turn on an outside faucet at the lowest point of their properties and let it run until the water turns clear.
