Rancho Calaveras Discolored Water

Important Notice for Rancho Calaveras Residents:

July 2, 2024, 5:00pm

Water flowing from a garden hose.

Dear Residents of Rancho Calaveras,

Residents of Rancho Calaveras, especially those in the Baldwin, Kirby, and McAtee areas, may notice temporary discoloration in their water. This is due to the activation of a secondary pump, a necessary measure to meet the increased water demand caused by recent high temperatures.

The use of the secondary pump can cause harmless sediment to stir, resulting in discolored or cloudy water. Rest assured, the water remains safe for all uses, including drinking. Running your outdoor hose bibs for a few moments should clear up the discoloration.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
