Date: July 3, 2025
The Calaveras County Water District is asking all Copperopolis residents and businesses to please conserve water due to a mechanical issue at the Copper Cove Water Treatment Plant.
One of our two primary filters is currently offline due to a valve malfunction, temporarily reducing our treatment capacity. While the system remains operational and water is still flowing, we are urging customers to limit non-essential water use during this time, especially through the upcoming holiday weekend.
Our crews are actively working to make repairs and restore full capacity as quickly and safely as possible.
What you can do to help:
- Postpone outdoor watering if possible
- Avoid washing vehicles or pressure washing
- Reduce indoor water use where you can
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to maintain reliable service for everyone in the community.
Thank you for doing your part.
