The Calaveras County Water District’s Public Information Officer, Joel Metzger, was recently interviewed on “Mondo Calaveras”, which is a regular show on Calaveras Community Television hosted by Mike Taylor. Metzger gave an overview of CCWD’s water and wastewater systems, discussed strict state regulations governing the treatment of water and wastewater, explored the idea of direct and indirect potable reuse of recycled water,  explained the end of the five-year drought, discussed how cannabis cultivation impacts the District, and gave an overview of projects that are part of the District’s Capital Improvement Program.
